8:00am- Morning walk at Waterfront Renaissance Trail!

Start you day with a refreshing morning walk on a 5-mile scenic paved pathway at Waterfront Renaissance Trail. This trail runs along the Columbian River. Visitors can skate, bike, jog, run or walk here, while taking in the scenic beauty and the beautiful views of the river. Along the way, you’ll find World War II-era Kaiser Shipyard and Viewing Tower, Ilchee Statue and Plaza, breathtaking views of Vancouver Land Bridge, and Wendy Rose stainless steel sculpture. A great way to start your day 1 in Vancouver!

9:00am- Partake of Breakfast!

10:00am- Connect with past at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site!

A trip to Vancouver is incomplete without visiting the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site that holds a plenty of city’s rich history. 11:00am- Stroll through the historic houses at Officer’s Row!

Next, head to Officer’s Row, another historic site that features restored Victorian houses. It is home to Marshall House and Ulysses S. Grant House. The Marshall house features antique decor, Victorian furnishings, artifacts and memorabilia of General George C. Marshall, who was the commanding officer at Vancouver Barracks from 1936 to 1938. Another must-visit home is the Ulysses S. Grant house. It is the oldest house on the Officer’s Row. Take a guided tour of these Victorian homes and browse the exhibits and artifacts that depict the rich history of Vancouver in the nineteenth century. 


12:00pm- Some more local history at Clark County Historical Museum!

Next, head to Clark County Historical Museum that features a collection of exhibits and artifacts highlighting the story of Clark County and the Pacific Northwest.  Exhibits range from Native American history to the Interstate-5 building to the people who played a significant role in the development of Clark County. It also houses a Native American craft exhibition, railroad exhibit and other artifacts.

1:00pm- Lunch at The Grant House!

2:00pm- Hear the bell tower sound at Esther Short Park!

Head to Esther Short Park after a scrumptious lunch. The park features a historic theatre, a fountain for kids, a gazebo, a rose garden, a playground, paved walking paths, live music and a Salmon Run Bell tower along with glockenspiel diorama and bronze bells.  The Salmon Run Bell Tower is a 69-foot clock tower that rotates to tell a story of the Chinook Indians. The glockenspiel and bells play daily at 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Worth a visit!

3:00pm- Browse artwork at Aurora Gallery!

Visit the Aurora Gallery that features artworks by local up-and-coming artists. The artwork spans across a variety of medias and styles, including sculptures, photographs, frame fine art paintings, art glass, pottery and more.

4:00pm- A glimpse of the aviation past at Pearson Air Museum!

Next, head to the Pearson Air Museum that features the aviation history of the area. It includes early military aviators, pre-WWII period aircrafts, Army Wings and Army Boots that depict the birth of Pearson field and the Vancouver Barracks history, the Straight-Grained Soldiers exhibit and other military aviation artifacts and objects.

7:00pm- An aperitif!
